About the role

ArcelorMittal is looking to hire a Mechanical Maintenance Manager for its industrial facilities in Asturias. The selected candidate will join the mechanical maintenance area, helping to ensure the safety, availability and reliability of industrial equipment and installations.

We are looking for a profile with solid experience in industrial maintenance and leadership skills, capable of coordinating teams, driving continuous improvement and efficiently managing maintenance resources and activities in a continuous process environment.

What you'll do

  • Actively promote the Zero Accidents culture and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Identify risks associated with maintenance activities and ensure the implementation of preventive measures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations by in-house staff, contractors and suppliers.
  • Direct, organize and develop the mechanical maintenance team under their responsibility.
  • Set priorities, monitor activities and ensure the achievement of the area's objectives.
  • Identify training needs and promote the technical and professional development of the team.
  • Act as a technical and coordination reference within the organization.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the proper execution of scheduled work and rapid recovery from incidents.

Education & certifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention.

Languages

  • English level B2 or equivalent in technical environments.

Experience

  • Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in continuous process facilities.
  • Previous experience in coordination, supervision or leadership of maintenance teams.
  • Experience in contractor management and resolution of complex technical incidents.

Technical Knowledge

  • Preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
  • Heavy industrial mechanical equipment.
  • Hydraulics, pneumatics and failure analysis.
  • Reliability techniques and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of SAP PM, ARMP or equivalent maintenance management systems.
