Mechanical Engineer

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive sector.
• Experience in mechanical design.
• Knowledge of tolerance analysis (stack-up), materials science, thermodynamics, CFD, and FEA.
• Knowledge of automotive industry standards and processes: Automotive SPICE, ISO, IATF, APQP‑PPAP.
• Ability to estimate costs, knowledge of lean principles, and automation/robotics.
• Experience preparing technical documentation and reviewing PPAP documentation.

• Advanced level of English is valued.

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to expand one of our teams in Tarragona.

As a Mechanical Engineer (ME), you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the execution of the project's mechanical development, from the analysis and definition of requirements to the final mechanical release, ensuring compliance with deadlines, cost, and quality, both in RFQ/RFI phases and in series development.

• Lead the mechanical development of the project throughout its entire life cycle.
• Define, analyze, and ensure the correct implementation of mechanical requirements.
• Coordinate the mechanical design approach, ensuring compliance with standards, guidelines, and cost objectives.
• Responsible for the mechanical BOM and the main technical deliverables.
• Define and review mechanical analyses and simulations (FEA, thermal, design reviews).
• Lead and participate in technical reviews with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Manage risks, technical changes, and open project points.
• Provide support for validation activities (DV/PV), review of initial samples, and failure mitigation.
• Collaborate with suppliers and multidisciplinary teams (HW/PCB, quality, manufacturing).
• Contribute to cost optimization initiatives and continuous design improvement.
