Depending on the person responsible for the warehouse, among their functions we highlight:
Organize, manage, and supervise the completion of the activities of the team under their charge.
- Ensure that all activities comply with Safety, Quality, and Food Defense standards. Promote a preventive culture in these three areas.
- Guarantee adequate storage conditions according to the characteristics of the material. Ensure rotation considering the best-before date.
- Guarantee the supply of Raw Materials by FEFO to the packaging lines according to the Production Plan.
- Conduct periodic inventories of raw materials, empty glass containers, and returnable containers from suppliers.
- Calculate needs and coordinate transfers of raw materials between decentralized warehouses.
- Monitor supplier delivery conditions. Manage and monitor Non-Conformities.
- Define the supplier delivery plan together with the Procurement Department.
- Plan the necessary staff for their shift, considering vacation periods, absences, and workload. Interpret the Master Production Schedule to calculate short- and medium-term needs.
- Fulfill the training plan for their team, promoting development within the Department. Align needs with the L&D Department.
- Hold regular one-on-one meetings with the people assigned to their shift.
- Monitor the KPIs specific to the logistics area. Identify and analyze deviations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Attend and participate in regular meetings with other Departments and align business objectives.
- Define, standardize, and document processes according to Operational Excellence requirements.
- Collaborate in internal and external audits.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Propose and develop improvements through technical and technological solutions.
- Review the condition and maintenance of the equipment and facilities under their charge (forklift fleet, infrastructure, and electronic devices).
