The role

Electromechanical Maintenance Technician for Data Center (Barcelona)

What you'll do

What will your mission be?

You will be part of the technical team responsible for ensuring the operational continuity of the DC's critical infrastructure, performing preventive and corrective interventions on electricity, industrial climate, and power generation systems.

Main duties

  • Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Direct execution of electromechanical tasks in the center's technical facilities.
  • Energy and Electrical Installations Management: Supervision, maneuvering, and maintenance in low voltage electrical panels (and assessment of high voltage), uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS / UPS) and generator sets.
  • Industrial and Precision HVAC: Control, supervision, and maintenance of industrial refrigeration equipment, chillers, air handling units (CRAC / InRow), and humidity/temperature control.
  • Inspection Rounds: Daily execution of technical rounds for parameter reading, early detection of anomalies, and control of physical alarms in BMS/SCADA.
  • Incident Response: Rapid resolution of breakdowns and technical incidents in physical infrastructure to avoid any impact on the service.
  • Safety and Regulations: Strict compliance with operating procedures in critical environments and Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) regulations.

Requirements

Profile we are looking for (Key Requirements)

  • Vocational Training (CFGM / CFGS):
  • Electricity and Electronics / Electrotechnics.
  • Maintenance of Thermal and Fluid Installations / HVAC and Refrigeration.
  • Industrial Maintenance / Mechatronics.
  • Demonstrable experience: Minimum 2-3 years in field technical maintenance in industrial facilities, critical buildings, hospitals, or Data Centers.
  • Essential technical knowledge:
  • Electricity: Distribution electrical panels, low voltage maneuvering, interpretation of electrical diagrams, and knowledge of UPS / UPS. (Experience or certification in High Voltage / Transformation Centers will be highly valued).
  • HVAC / Industrial Cooling: Diagnosis and maintenance of precision HVAC equipment or chiller plants.
  • Availability: Full availability to work in rotating Morning, Afternoon, and Night shifts (M/A/N) from Monday to Sunday.

The following will be especially valued

  • F-Gas Certification (Fluorinated Gases).
  • Certification or experience in operations/maneuvers in Transformation Centers / High Voltage (HV).
  • PRL training specific to Electricity (Telco / Metal Agreement 20h/60h).
  • Previous experience in infrastructure management in Data Centers or Critical Mission environments (24x7).
