The role

A metal sector company located in Pla de l'Estany needs to hire a Blacksmith. The selected person will perform the following functions:

What you'll do

- Organizes work spaces, maneuvering, storage, loading, and access to the work area.

- Interprets plans and diagrams of the elements to be executed.

- Performs material measurements, either on plan or on-site.

- Asks for, loads, unloads, checks, and prepares the necessary material.

- Performs the machining of different parts (cutting, drilling...).

- Joins elements using electric welding.

- Performs the forging of plates.

- Prepares and integrates casting elements.

- Determines, orders, prepares, and integrates forging elements.

- Performs the assembly of locks, tanks, gratings, buckets, rings, shackles, lintels, etc.

- Mounts or installs railings, grilles, stairs, enclosures, etc., performing embeddings and fixings.

- Performs unblocking and opening work.

- Repairs non-ferrous metal elements.

- Maintains and cleans precious metals.

- Performs quality control of the work.

- Carries out the handling of elements, tools, machines, auxiliary means, and collective and individual protections necessary for the execution of the work.

- Among other tasks specific to the workplace.

Requirements

Experience with Electrode and TIG-MIG welding.
We are looking for a person with a good attitude and commitment.
Living near the workplace is valued.
Own vehicle is essential to reach the workplace.
