Requirements
What we're looking for
Proven experience administering cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Strong understanding of cloud networking and identity management
Experience with monitoring and logging solutions
Knowledge of high-availability and scalable architecture principles
Scripting and automation experience (Powershell, Bash, C# or similar)
Solid understanding of cloud storage and database solutions
Nice to have
- Previous work in an indie games studio, small tech company or startup
- Experience supporting live game services or game production workloads
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines & version control
- Cost optimisation and cloud governance experience
- Programming skills, in particular C#
- Familiarity with Facepunch or our games
The role
What you'll do
Working closely with the DevOps and development teams and reporting directly to the CTO, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure)
Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, availability and cost
Manage cloud networking, identity and access controls
Support CI/CD and build pipeline integrations
Collaborate with development and data teams on infrastructure requirements
Implement backup, resilience and disaster recovery strategies
Enforce cloud security best practice
Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities and propose solutions
Implement realistic, iterative and practical infrastructure improvements
