Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Must be customer oriented
  • Must be well organized and methodical
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written & verbal
  • Must be able to work successfully on a team
  • Must have Excellent English speaking, reading & writing skills
  • Must be able to present information effectively
  • Must have demonstrated understanding and experience with Infrastructure topics such as databases, servers, cloud systems, networking etc.
  • A demonstrated understanding of Operational Excellence ITIL v3.0 or higher Fundamentals Certification
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Pipeline development on AWS stack (Glue, Pyspark, lambda, s3, SNS, Step functions, Airflow)
  • Data transformation and modelling using Snowflake and dbt
  • Good to have knowledge of data integration tools (Snaplogic)
  • Python and SQL (advanced)
  • Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK / CloudFormation) - pipelines and transformations are deployed as reusable blueprints across environments
  • CI/CD (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild)

Nice to have

  • Other languages such as German, Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish a plus
  • Experience working in a regulated environment is a plus
  • Experience working in a multicultural diverse environment

The role

Omega CRM Consulting is looking for a System Operations Specialist that would like to collaborate with one of the top global pharmaceutical companies.

The Systems Operations Specialist will be responsible for the Operational Excellence of a group of systems/applications, performing the standard operational tasks to keep the system compliant with ISI standards.

What you'll do

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Compliance documentation
  • Coordinating and scheduling backup/recovery & Performing Disaster Recovery testing
  • Service Level Agreement monitoring
  • Access & identity monitoring
  • Coordinating (but not performing) server and database patches
  • Incident troubleshooting
  • Small enhancements/configuration changes to software
  • Coordinating software management
  • Interfacing/Coordinate with multiple areas of the business and IT (Functional Areas & Infrastructure)
  • Collecting & Processing Demands from Business Users
  • Performing Incident & Problem Management
  • Performing Change Management
  • Working with IT Infrastructure to remediate, replace, migrate or decommission legacy systems or infrastructure items
  • Decommissioning (Retiring) systems
  • Coordinating System Archiving
  • Coordinating the onboarding of systems from functional areas to the EOC
  • Overseeing Knowledge transfer, Shadowing, Reverse Shadowing during the transition of systems from the functional areas to the EOC
  • Communicating system transition results back to the EOC reporting team
