We are currently looking to bring on a Packaging & New Product Development (NPD) Intern to support the Global Category Management team, taking part in international projects and collaborating with key areas of the company.

What you'll do

To support the Global Category Management team in the operational, analytical and project management activities related to the Packaging and New Product Development (NPD) categories.

The position combines data analysis tasks, project tracking, coordination with suppliers and collaboration with technical teams, so it offers an excellent opportunity to gain a global view of the business and develop within a strategic area of the company.

Among other duties, you will take part in supplier monitoring, information analysis, request for quotations and support for sourcing and product development initiatives.

Support to Category Management

  • Update and analyze purchasing information, consumption and volumes by supplier, plant and category.
  • Provide support in tracking market indices (PPI and raw materials).
  • Prepare reports, analyses and presentations for the Commodity Managers.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support Value Improvement (VI) initiatives.
  • Compile and consolidate supplier Component Bills of Materials (CBOMs).
  • Provide support in requests for quotation (RFQs) and supplier monitoring.
  • Analyze information to support strategic category decision-making.

Support to New Product Development (NPD) projects

  • Keep NPD project trackers up to date.
  • Follow up with Project Managers and different departments to gather information and update project status.
  • Provide support in the preparation and monitoring of RFQs.
  • Collaborate in the management and maintenance of tools such as Smartsheet and SharePoint.
  • Take part in new product development projects alongside Engineering, Procurement and Product Management teams.

Document management and support to Sourcing

  • Keep supplier and material databases up to date.
  • Organize technical and commercial documentation.
  • Support the search for new suppliers and the collection of market information.
  • Prepare documentation for meetings, analyses and strategic projects.
  • Coordinate the follow-up of actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Support in sustainability and regulatory compliance

  • Collaborate in the collection of information for sustainability projects.
  • Support the monitoring of European regulations related to Packaging and materials.
  • Manage the collection of certifications and documentation required from suppliers.

Skills

  • Advanced level of Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in pivot tables, formulas and analysis of large volumes of information.
  • Interest in data analysis and project management.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with technical environments and engineering.
  • Advanced level of English.
  • Knowledge of Power BI will be valued.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Smartsheet or similar tools will be valued.
