The role

CEU Fernando III University is initiating a selection process to incorporate a university lecturer specializing in Microbiology to provide teaching at the Faculty of Health Sciences during the 2027-2028 academic year.

We are looking for a professional with solid scientific training in Microbiology, the ability to transmit specialized knowledge, and an orientation toward university teaching in the field of Health Sciences.

Experience and academic profile

Research or professional experience in the field of Microbiology.
Solid knowledge of microbiology and its applications in the field of Health Sciences.
We will value university teaching experience and participation in research projects and scientific publications related to the area.

Competencies and skills

Ability to transmit scientific knowledge in a clear, rigorous, and didactic manner.
Ability to relate the fundamentals of Microbiology to its applications in the healthcare field.
Strong communication, planning, and teamwork skills.
Interest in teaching innovation and the continuous improvement of teaching-learning processes.

The following will be especially valued

Accreditation for university teaching positions by ANECA or the corresponding regional agency.
Proficiency in English that allows for teaching in this language.
Experience in laboratory practices and in teaching methodologies applied to the teaching of Microbiology.
