About the role

At Grupo Planeta, we are currently seeking a Senior Internal Auditor for our Corporate Services division.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Plan and execute risk-based audits from the annual plan.
  • Perform financial, IT, compliance, and operational audits. Review accounting processes, integrity, and accuracy of financial statements. Conduct audit testing, document evidence, and ensure traceability of reviewed information. Identify areas for improvement and propose recommendations to optimize operational efficiency and internal control effectiveness.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the internal control system, risk management, and regulatory compliance across the Group, providing recommendations that add value and contribute to continuous process improvement.
  • Verify compliance with internal, contractual, and regulatory requirements. Ensure that all areas and processes of the organization operate in accordance with the established internal control framework, promoting a culture of compliance and good corporate governance.
  • Collaborate with different business areas (finance, operations, IT, legal, compliance) to identify emerging risks and strengthen the internal control environment.
  • Prepare clear, structured executive reports focused on continuous improvement and decision-making, including impactful conclusions and recommendations.
  • Present conclusions and recommendations to Management, facilitating understanding of risks and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Follow up on action plans, verifying the proper implementation of agreed improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the audit function by optimizing methodologies, using data analytics tools, and automating testing processes.
  • Participation in special projects (Due Diligence, etc.).

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or roles related to risk and internal control.
  • Advanced English (C1).
  • French level is a plus.
  • Knowledge of databases and data analytics tools (Power BI) focused on data visualization, pattern identification, and risk analysis.
