PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Professional who collaborates to ensure work in high-level biosecurity facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, quality standards, and the highest ethical principles in all research activities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate in the coordination of resources and teams to ensure the efficient execution of in vivo studies and preclinical research programs, ensuring the obtainment of high-quality results.
  • Collaborate effectively with research staff, animal welfare officers, veterinarians, and the Preclinical Science manager to ensure regulatory compliance and the efficient execution of studies.

  • Collaborate with the Preclinical Science manager and the research group to ensure that all activities are carried out safely, properly recorded, and in compliance with applicable regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), hazardous substance control requirements, and corresponding corporate policies and guidelines.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary and cross-functional environment to ensure proper alignment and achievement of objectives.
  • Identify training needs within the teams and effectively communicate them to management to support the continuous development of staff.
  • Ensure that one's own actions do not compromise the health and safety of any person and assume individual responsibility in matters of occupational risk prevention.
  • Participate in the management of resources and investments, contributing to the efficient acquisition of equipment through CAPEX projects, optimizing investment, and supporting the operational needs of the area.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree or bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Pharmacy, or related disciplines.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • More than 6 years of experience working with animals in Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3)/Level 4 (BSL-4) environments, including the handling of infectious agents, compliance with containment and biosecurity protocols, and application of corresponding safety regulations, in Spain or other countries.
  • Experience in conducting in vitro/in vivo studies in BSL3 and/or BSL4 facilities
  • Experience collaborating in the management of resources and in the acquisition of equipment through CAPEX investments.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary, cross-functional environments.
