Electrical and Automation Maintenance Technician

• Permanent contract and stability within Gurpea.
• Central schedule from 8:00 to 17:00h
• Joining a stable industrial project in a plant with a significant technical and automation component.
• Salary between €30,000 and €35,000 gross/year, depending on experience and knowledge. Flexible remuneration with the possibility of private medical insurance and childcare vouchers.
• Training and the possibility to continue developing in industrial electricity, automation, and PLC.

• Higher Degree training in Industrial Automation and Robotics, Industrial Mechatronics, Electrotechnical and Automated Systems, Electronics, or similar.
• Previous experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Good handling and interpretation of electrical diagrams.
• Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, and industrial automation elements.
• Knowledge of Siemens PLC and TIA Portal.
• We are not necessarily looking for a pure PLC programmer: we are especially interested in an electrical maintenance profile that is capable of accessing the PLC, diagnosing faults, and working with TIA Portal.

• Experience performing program modifications, signal searching, online diagnosis, and small changes in PLCs will be valued.

At Gurpea, we are looking to hire an Electrical Maintenance and Automation Technician to work in a major industrial plant located in the Izarra area (Álava). We are looking for a profile with a solid foundation in electrical maintenance, accustomed to working with industrial machinery and with an interest or experience in Siemens PLC and TIA Portal.

You will be part of the plant maintenance team, working mainly on the electrical, electronic, and automation aspects of the facilities and production machinery. Your objective will be to ensure equipment availability, resolve breakdowns, and participate actively in the improvement of the facilities.

• Diagnosis and resolution of electrical and electronic faults in industrial machinery.
• Interpretation of electrical diagrams and fault localization.
• Maintenance of electrical panels, motors, sensors, actuators, contactors, relays, frequency drives, and control systems.
• Intervention in automated production machinery.
• Fault diagnosis using Siemens PLC.
• Connection and monitoring of programs using TIA Portal.
• Consultation of PLC signals, inputs/outputs, alarms, and statuses to locate incidents.
• Carrying out small programming modifications and adjustments, depending on the knowledge of the person hired.
• Preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
• Participation in electrical and automation improvements aimed at increasing facility reliability and reducing downtime.
• Collaboration with the rest of the technical team in electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic interventions when necessary.
