The role

At ING we are looking for a Data & AI Engineering Manager.

Your role and work environment:

As Data & AI Engineering Manager, you will provide strategic technical leadership for all products and services within the data ecosystem, including data platforms, data delivery processes, and the AI foundations proposal. You will be responsible for the following products:

Your main responsibilities:

Product responsibilities:

  • Being responsible for the execution of Data Driven Banking initiatives.

  • Co-creating the "HOW" together with the business owner and the Data Driven Banking owner.

  • Aligning with the business owner the most suitable IT strategy for the development of new or existing products.

  • Ensuring business delivery and compliance with technological standards.

  • Providing solutions to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of services.

  • Staying up to date on the best technologies that can improve our systems.

  • Defining the composition of IT teams/squads.

  • Defining the organization of the squad/product/program together with the business owner.

  • Managing end-to-end product development, ensuring smooth integration and delivery:

    • Defining, together with the tribe's IT management team, the engineering agreements that guarantee Time to Market and the product quality required by the bank as part of the DoD.

  • Designing systems with resilience in mind and proactively managing incidents to minimize downtime and ensure continuity. Supporting Production through the analysis and resolution of errors that may arise. Contributing to improving technical discipline by collaborating with the cross-functional technical chapter.
