Opportunity to work on cutting-edge photonic technologies for AI infrastructure
At iPronics, we are redefining optical networking for AI and next-generation datacenter infrastructures through our programmable photonics technology. As we continue scaling our capabilities, we are looking for a Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA) Development Engineer to join our growing team.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of device physics, materials science, and advanced manufacturing, developing key building blocks for our photonic systems.
As an SOA Development Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of semiconductor optical amplifiers for scalable photonic systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing and optimizing epitaxial layer stacks to achieve target device performance.
Performing device simulation and modeling to predict and improve behavior.
Applying Design for Manufacturability (DfM) principles to ensure scalable, high-yield solutions.
Collaborating on Design for Testing (DfT), defining test strategies and analyzing measurement data.
Developing and executing test and characterization routines for fabricated devices.
Analyzing experimental data and translating results into design improvements.
Interfacing with suppliers and foundries to define specifications and support process development.
Collaborating with system, packaging, and photonic integration teams.
Maintaining clear documentation of designs, simulations, and processes.
Strong problem-solving mindset.
Team-oriented and collaborative.
Clear communication skills.
Why Join iPronics?
At iPronics, you will be developing core photonic building blocks that directly impact the performance of next-generation optical systems. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment where physics, design, and manufacturing converge to create real-world products.
