QA Engineering Lead

Izertis is looking to expand its team with the addition of a QA Engineering Lead to join one of our most important clients.

What will your duties be?

• You will be the point of contact between clients and the nearshore QA team, facilitating work based on the information and needs conveyed.
• You will ensure the quality of the specified tests, guaranteeing that they adequately cover the key functionalities of the products.
• You will define and evolve the testing strategy to be applied.
• You will train and advise the client on the methodology and testing processes defined.
• You will report to the client on the project's progress and any potential blockers in periodic follow-up meetings.
• You will identify, propose, and prioritize improvement points with the client.

Required experience:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience leading QA Assessment projects and defining roadmaps.
• Experience in defining, implementing, and governing QA strategies and methodologies or participating in technical quality offices.
• Experience in manual, automated, and performance testing.
• Experience in test automation with frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
• Experience in API Testing (Postman, Newman, SoapUI, RestAssured, etc.).
• Experience working with test management tools (ALM, Octane, Xray, Zephyr, Testlink, etc.).
• Experience with version control tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions...).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience integrating AI into testing projects.

Other knowledge:

• Knowledge of Gherkin.
• General knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps.
• Knowledge of Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• ISTQB, PMP, or equivalent certifications will be a plus.

Soft skills:

• Experience leading teams of between 2 and 10 people.
• Ability to mentor and train.
• High analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactivity, autonomy, and responsibility.
• Good time and priority management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and teamwork.

Where would we like you to be for this position?

In line with our culture, we would like you to be in cities where we can count on you in our offices, such as Madrid, Gijón, Barcelona, Vitoria, A Coruña, Valencia, or Seville.

The work modality will be hybrid, with 2 days in-person and 3 remote.

¿Cuáles serán tus funciones?

• Serás el punto de contacto entre los clientes y el equipo nearshore de QA, facilitando el trabajo en base a la información y necesidades trasladadas.
• Velarás por la calidad de los tests especificados, garantizando que cubren adecuadamente las funcionalidades clave de los productos.
• Definirás y evolucionarás la estrategia de pruebas a aplicar.
• Formarás y asesorarás al cliente en cuanto a la metodología y procesos de pruebas definidos.
• Reportarás al cliente el avance del proyecto y posibles bloqueos en reuniones periódicas de seguimiento.
• Identificarás, propondrás y priorizarás junto al cliente puntos de mejora.

Experiencia requerida:

• Al menos 3 - 5 años de experiencia en un puesto similar.
• Experiencia liderando proyectos de QA Assessment y definiendo hojas de ruta.
• Experiencia en definición, implantación y gobierno de estrategias y metodologías QA o participación en oficinas técnicas de calidad.
• Experiencia en testing manual, automático y de performance.
• Experiencia en automatización de pruebas con frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
• Experiencia en API Testing (Postman, Newman, SoapUI, RestAssured, etc.).
• Experiencia trabajando con herramientas de gestión de pruebas (ALM, Octane, Xray, Zephyr, Testlink, etc.).
• Experiencia en herramientas de control de versiones (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Experiencia con herramientas CI/CD (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions...).
• Experiencia trabajando en entornos Agile.
• Experiencia integrando IA en proyectos de testing.

Otros conocimientos:

• Conocimiento de Gherkin.
• Conocimientos generales de Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps.
• Conocimientos de Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Certificaciones ISTQB, PMP o equivalentes serán un plus.

Soft skills:

• Experiencia liderando equipos de entre 2 y 10 personas.
• Capacidad de mentoring y formación.
• Alta capacidad analítica y resolución de problemas.
• Proactividad, autonomía y responsabilidad.
• Buena gestión del tiempo y de prioridades.
