Requirements

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer working with:

- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Global knowledge of the cloud, especially Data Engineering tools.

- BigQuery: Advanced SQL level. Construction of ETLs, data modeling, and query optimization.

- Essential: SQL (Advanced) and Python (Intermediate/Advanced).

- Cloud Storage (GCS): Management of buckets, data lifecycle, and seamless integration with BigQuery.

- Orchestration: Creation and maintenance of workflows (DAGs) in Airflow. Knowledge of YAML and Jinja2 for dynamic DAG generation via configuration files.

- Version control: Proficiency in using GIT, specifically Github.

Nice to have

- Highly valued: Spark/scala.

Additionally, we will highly value if you have experience or knowledge with:

- Classic Big Data Ecosystem: Knowledge of Hive and familiarity with Cloudera CDP.

- Distributed Processing: Notions of Spark (2.4) and Scala (2.11). Someone capable of reading legacy code, applying basic maintenance, and understanding the logic to rewrite it in SQL on BigQuery if necessary.

- Orchestration with controlM: User-level knowledge of controlM to understand job orchestration through the use of this tool.

- CI/CD Tools: Knowledge of using Jenkins for artifact generation.
