Senior Data Scientist - Personalization Squad

• At least 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist. Degree or Master's in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or similar.
• At least 4 years of experience developing in Python, or another object-oriented language.
• Experience developing in PySpark to efficiently process large volumes of information.
• Experience developing mathematical models and predictive algorithms (supervised and unsupervised models, clustering, neural networks, etc.).
• Experience developing end-to-end machine learning solutions, from the prototype phase to production deployment and maintenance.
• Experience in the development and implementation of solutions with generative AI models, LLMs, or NLP.
• Experience working with Cloud services (for example, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and in distributed computing environments. Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Knowledge of programming best practices and software development: tests, automation, CI pipelines (Jenkins), etc. is very positively valued.
• Experience using Deep Learning focused libraries such as Tensorflow or PyTorch is positively valued.

The Personalization squad, which the selected person will join, is responsible for developing Artificial Intelligence algorithms to provide a personalized experience to Mango customers, both on the website and the app as well as in email or push communications. Leveraging the large volume of customer purchase and browsing data, the developed algorithms include product recommendations, customer segmentation, the mango.com search engine, a conversational AI assistant that acts as a fashion advisor for our customers, or the generation of personalized content through generative AI, ensuring its real-time deployment.

YOUR NEW ROLE

As a Senior Data Scientist specialized in retail-fashion, you will be part of the Personalization squad team, which works on the research, definition, prototyping, development, and production deployment of solutions based on AI algorithms.

In your day-to-day...

• You will perform the development of advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to improve our main commercial processes and decisions.
• You will work with a strong engineering focus (for example, continuous integration, test automation, etc.) within a solid team of data engineers and data scientists.
• You will use Spark to scale your models and leverage MLOps tools to deploy them into production.
• You will interact with business stakeholders to ensure proper alignment and adoption; and you will participate in the project delivery from start to finish.
• You will work with a fast and iterative approach to new ideas and proofs of concept.
• You will be connected to the latest developments in Data Science and MLOps and will invest time in bringing new technologies and best practices to Mango.

All projects are developed in the AWS cloud using a variety of advanced tools and services. These include Amazon S3 for storage, AWS Lambda for serverless computing, and various APIs for service integration. Additionally, we employ Apache Airflow for orchestration and scheduling of workflows, and Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) for container management and Jenkins for deployment. We use Databricks for our Datalake.
