Electrical Engineer for Data Centers (M/F)

From Manpower Engineering, we are looking for a qualified Senior Electrical Engineer (M/F) to join projects for data centers and critical electrical installations, with direct responsibility for the design, supervision, and legalization of high-availability infrastructures.

What you'll do

⚙️ Main responsibilities

  • Design of low-voltage electrical installations for data centers (distribution, protection systems, earthing, emergency systems, lighting, and auxiliary systems).
  • Complete project development: technical reports, calculations, drawings, single-line diagrams, measurements, and "as-built" documentation.
  • Sizing of critical systems: UPS systems, backup generators, transformers, ATS/STS transfer switches, busbars, selectivity studies, and short-circuit calculations.
  • Direction and supervision of the electrical execution on site.
  • Coordination with installers, subcontractors, the technical management team, and the client.
  • Quality control, schedule compliance, cost management, and monitoring of technical deviations.

What we're looking for

🎯 Essential requirements

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering (Electrical specialty or equivalent).
  • Holding the Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) certification, which is exclusive to CPD/DATA CENTERS.
  • Professional association membership (colegiación) in force.
  • Capacity to sign, endorse, and legalize electrical projects.
  • Experience in the design and execution of industrial or critical electrical installations.
  • Mastery of the REBT regulations and other applicable standards.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical calculations (protection systems, selectivity, earthing, short-circuit, voltage drop).
  • Experience in construction supervision and coordination of execution.
  • Proficiency in electrical design and calculation tools.

Nice to have

⭐ Valued requirements

  • Experience in data centers, CPDs, hospitals, airports, or other critical infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of high-availability standards (Tier, redundancy, resilience).
  • Experience with UPS systems, generators, medium voltage, switchgear, and critical power systems.
  • Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Caneco, EPLAN, DIALux, or similar.
  • Technical English.
  • Experience with utility companies, authorized inspection bodies (OCAs), and regulatory authorities.

What you'll get

🚀 What we offer

  • Participation in projects of high technical complexity in data centers and critical infrastructures.
  • Involvement throughout the entire project lifecycle: design, execution, legalization, and handover.
  • Real technical responsibility on high-impact projects.
  • A professional environment in a rapidly growing sector in Spain, with a strong portfolio of data center projects.
  • Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Job Mission

📍 Mission of the role

Lead the development, supervision, and certification of electrical installations in data centers, ensuring regulatory compliance (REBT), technical quality, safety, and continuity of service in mission-critical environments.

Legalization and certification

  • Legalization, signing, and endorsement of electrical projects.
  • Coordination with authorized inspection bodies (OCAs), regulatory authorities, and administrations.
  • Participation in testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
  • Liaison with other disciplines: mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, telecommunications, BMS/SCADA, and civil works.
  • Review of technical bids, comparison of proposals, and certification of completed works.
  • Preparation of technical reports and incident documentation.

Key Competencies

  • High technical rigor and responsibility.
  • Leadership on site and decision-making skills.
