What we're looking for

🔍 What profile are we looking for?

Experience: Minimum between 5 and 10 years in industrial instrumentation and control, with a significant portion in projects involving real field commissioning.
Education: Industrial, Electronic, Automation Engineering, or a similar discipline.
Languages: Fluent technical English (minimum B2 level) for management with international manufacturers and suppliers.
Skills: Solid technical-economic judgment, high autonomy to work with Technical Management, and the ability to adapt to collaborative environments and field work.

Nice to have

✨ Highly valued experience:

Knowledge of configuration or programming of DCS/SCADA/PLC platforms (Siemens, Schneider Electric, Rockwell).
Previous experience in thermal storage projects, CSP, molten salts, steam generation, or high-temperature fluids.
Knowledge of industry regulations (IEC 60534, IEC 61511/61508, Pressure Equipment Directive) and functional safety certifications (TÜV Functional Safety Engineer).

The role

At Paul Marlex, we are looking for an Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join a leading company in renewable energies. You will be part of the Technical Management of a company that is a leader in international projects.

What you'll do

🎯 What will your main responsibilities be?

Definition and Selection of Components: Design the detailed engineering, specification, and sizing of field instrumentation (flowmeters, control valves, temperature, pressure, and level sensors) for severe high-temperature conditions and thermal fluids.
Technical Documentation and Safety: Prepare P&IDs, instrument lists, control loops, and operating philosophies; actively participate in risk analyses (HAZOP, LOPA) and SIL verification.
Commissioning: Supervise assembly, calibration, and plant startup (FAT/SAT tests, loop checks, and loop tuning).
Integration and Monitoring: Integrate instrumentation with PLC/SCADA systems under industrial protocols (HART, Modbus, Profinet) and define preventive maintenance plans through historical data analysis.
Cost Efficiency: Develop standard catalogs with approved manufacturers, optimize the quality/price ratio through TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) criteria, and provide technical-economic support for client offers.
