Financial Accountant - Freight Forwarding Sector

· Education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and/or financial positions.

· Previous experience in companies within the freight forwarding, freight forwarding, or international logistics sector.

· Solid knowledge of general accounting, billing, closings, and financial management.

· Knowledge of import/export operations and Air & Sea transport is highly valued.

· Good command of Excel and financial management tools.

· Experience with Power BI or other data analysis and visualization tools is valued.

· A profile with an interest in digitalization, automation, and process improvement will be especially valued.

· English level B2 or higher.

· Spanish is essential and Catalan is valued.

· Analytical, organized, decisive, autonomous, and proactive profile, with a business orientation and the ability to work transversally with different departments.

About the position

You will be part of the Finance Department, actively participating in the company's accounting and financial management and with a special link to the specific operations of the freight forwarding business.

You will work transversally with the Operations Department and in direct collaboration with the Financial Management, participating in both day-to-day financial management and in closings, cost and profitability analysis, reporting, and improvement projects.

What will your mission be?

· Management and monitoring of the company's accounting cycle.

· Recording and control of customer and supplier invoices.

· Monitoring of billing, collections, and payments.

· Participation in periodic accounting closings.

· Support in the management of taxes and fiscal obligations.

· Control and analysis of costs, margins, and profitability of operations.

· Financial monitoring of import and export operations.

· Analysis of costs associated with logistics and freight forwarding operations.

· Coordination with the Operations Department to ensure correct allocation of costs and income.

· Preparation of management reports and financial reporting.

· Analysis of financial information using Excel, Power BI, and other data analysis tools.

· Identification and proposal of opportunities for automation and improvement of financial processes.

· Progressive participation in the company's financial planning.

· Direct collaboration with the Financial Management on projects linked to the growth and structuring of the department.

What are we looking for?

The company has offices in El Masnou and El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona), and the position can be carried out from either location depending on the residence and fit of the selected person.

· Flexible schedule, with arrival between 8:30 h and 9:00 h and departure between 17:30 h and 18:00 h.

· Friday afternoons with the possibility of rotating teleworking.
