Senior Accountant

At Marlex, we are looking for a Tax Accountant to join a tech startup specializing in accounting, tax, and labor advisory for startups, digital companies, and e-commerce.

This is a project in full growth, with a culture highly oriented towards technology, automation, and continuous improvement, where you will have the opportunity to evolve from a purely accounting role towards a more consultative profile oriented to financial advisory.

• Management of the full accounting cycle for a client portfolio.
• Recording and reviewing accounting operations.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Monthly and annual accounting closings.
• Preparation and review of balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Preparation and filing of taxes.
• Management of VAT, IRPF (Personal Income Tax), Corporate Tax, and other tax obligations.
• Resolution of accounting and tax queries and incidents.
• Direct communication with clients and advisory in accounting and tax matters.
• Analysis of financial information and proposal of improvements.
• Participation in the automation and optimization of processes.
• Use of digital tools and ERP, mainly Holded and an internal proprietary platform.
• Collaboration in the evolution of the company's internal processes.

• Education in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or similar.
• Previous experience of at least 2-3 years in accounting and taxation.
• Experience in the full accounting cycle.
• Experience in tax filing and management.
• We will especially value previous experience in accounting/tax advisory, professional firms, large consultancies, or environments involving the management of different clients.
• An autonomous, proactive, and organized person.
• Analytical skills and customer orientation.
• Interest in technology, automation, and process improvement.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic and growing environments.
• Desire to evolve towards a more consultative and advisory role.
• English will be valued.
• Catalan is not essential.
