At Marlex, we are collaborating with an important industrial company specializing in mechanical manufacturing that is looking to hire a Warehouse and Materials Receiving Manager to strengthen its team.

What you'll do

Your mission will be to ensure the correct receiving, control, storage, cutting, and supply of materials and raw materials, ensuring the traceability, identification, and availability of material for production, while meeting the established quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Receive products purchased or sent by customers.
  • Verify orders, delivery notes, certificates, and documentation associated with the received material.
  • Supervise the unloading of materials following risk prevention, quality, and environmental procedures.
  • Locate, identify, and store material, ensuring its proper segregation and traceability.
  • Supply raw materials and materials to the production area according to manufacturing needs.
  • Perform basic receiving checks, including hardness and conductivity verifications when applicable.
  • Report incidents or potential non-conformities to the Quality and Purchasing departments.
  • Perform material cutting operations using a saw according to production needs.
  • Record material entries and exits to keep stock updated.
  • Refill oil in the centralized reservoirs of machining machines when necessary.
  • Maintain order, cleanliness, and proper identification of warehouse and receiving areas.

Education & certifications

  • Intermediate or Advanced Vocational Training in Mechanical Manufacturing, Logistics, Warehousing, or a related field.
  • Valid forklift license (minimum: counterbalance forklift).

Languages

  • Professional-level Spanish.
  • Catalan is a plus.
  • Basic technical English is a plus for interpreting international documentation and delivery notes.

Experience

  • Previous experience in warehousing, materials receiving, internal logistics, or similar positions.
  • More than 2 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Experience in managing metallic raw materials, batch/heat traceability, and material certificates.
  • Experience in receiving control, product identification, and stock updates using an ERP.
  • Experience in companies certified under ISO 9001 and/or EN 9100 is a plus.
  • Experience in material cutting with a saw, forklift operation, and coordination with Production, Purchasing, and Quality.

Technical knowledge

  • Knowledge of receiving documentation: purchase orders, delivery notes, certificates, and traceability.
  • Basic ERP skills (ABAS or similar) for warehouse and stock management.
  • Knowledge of identification, segregation, and storage of metallic raw materials.
  • Use of basic verification equipment, hardness, and conductivity testing.
  • Knowledge of occupational risk prevention related to material handling and unloading.
