The role

We are looking for an Electrical/Mechanical Project Manager for a company in the industrial sector. This position requires experience in managing electrical projects within the engineering and manufacturing field.

What you'll do

  • Lead and coordinate the execution of MEP works (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, fire protection, and control systems), guaranteeing compliance with project deadlines, budget, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring correct integration between design, construction, commissioning, and operations.
  • Supervise the development of MEP installations, verifying compliance with technical specifications, applicable regulations, construction standards, and performance requirements for critical infrastructure.
  • Review and validate plans, technical documentation, specifications, RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals, ensuring their constructability and alignment with project objectives.
  • Perform continuous monitoring of construction progress, controlling productivity, quality, safety, resource allocation, and compliance with the established schedule.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, incidents, changes, and technical deviations, evaluating their impact on cost, deadline, quality, and the commissioning of the installations.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing and contract management departments in defining scopes, technical evaluation of suppliers, monitoring of supplies, and cost control of MEP packages.
  • Supervise inspection, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final handover activities of the systems, guaranteeing their correct operation and readiness for operation.
  • Prepare technical and progress reports for Project Management, ensuring effective communication regarding the status, risks, and evolution of the works.
  • Promote continuous improvement, collaboration between teams, and compliance with the safety, sustainability, and operational excellence standards established by the company.

Who are we looking for (M/F/D)?

The selected candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline. Professional certifications in project management, safety, commissioning, or MEP systems will be valued.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in MEP construction management,
  • Solid understanding of execution during the construction phase, including contractor management, site coordination, construction methods, inspection and test plans, quality control, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) requirements, change management, schedule control, and handover documentation.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, equipment submittals, commissioning documentation, and construction schedules, paying special attention to constructability, interfaces, reliability, and operational readiness.
