SAP BW4 Engineer

We are looking for an SAP BW/4 Engineer to join the Technology team at a company in the insurance sector.Fluent in English is mandatory

• Design, develop, and maintain data models in SAP BW/4HANA (ADSO, Composite Providers, layered architectures).
• Implement and operate robust data integration flows (ETL/ELT), including monitoring and error handling.
• Develop routines for data transformations based on ABAP, ABAP OO, and AMDP.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across the end-to-end data pipeline.
• Integrate with SAP and non-SAP systems using classical (RFC) and API-based (OData) approaches.
• Develop and maintain OHD interfaces.
• Conduct regular housekeeping to monitor and remediate data volume growth.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, particularly in Accounting and Controlling, to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to transformation initiatives, including release upgrades and data platform evolution.
• Support modern data platform strategies, including hybrid SAP and cloud architectures.

• Fluent in English is mandatory

• English C1 (professional proficiency, mandatory)

• Permanent contract in a global insurance company.
• Competitive salary range between €40,000 and €43,000 gross per year + bonus (The final offer will depend on the candidate's seniority demonstrated throughout the selection process.)

• 5 or more years of hands-on experience in SAP BW/4HANA development
• Data modeling, process chains, extractors, data lifecyclemanagement / housekeeping
• ABAP, ABAP OO, AMDP: BW routines, enhancements, debugging, performanceoptimization
• SAP Analytics Cloud: Design and maintain data structures + queries in BW backend
• Integration & APIs: OData Services, OHD, RFC, MS Fabrics / Power-BI connectors
