What we're looking for

Degree in administration, finance, economics, or business sciences.
At least three years of working experience, preferably in finance areas.
Expertise in MS-Office, particularly Excel, and in SAP tools.
Analytical skills and accuracy in dealing with figures.
Self-confident approach combined with a high degree of dedication to working effectively and independently, willing to face new responsibilities.
Strong communication skills, high degree of intercultural competence and team spirit.
Good knowledge of Spanish and English (written and spoken). Italian and/or Portuguese is highly valued.

Nice to have

Re/ Insurance claims knowledge is highly valued.

The role

Munich Re Madrid is responsible for Non-Life technical accounting and claims handling services for Iberia, Latin America, Caribbean and Italy. We are looking for a flexible and highly motivated Reinsurance Claims Accountant in this interesting, dynamic and international setting, contributing with expertise and engagement in the growing multicultural department.

What you'll do

Process and record reinsurance claim transactions.
Review, process, and execute claim payments.
Review and validate claims-related accounting and payment information.
Investigate and resolve claims-related accounting discrepancies.
Collaborate with Claims colleagues and other key stakeholders.
Maintain high data quality standards and perform claims quality checks.
Ensure accurate and timely processing in accordance with internal controls and procedures.
Manage a designated portfolio of clients.
Contribute to challenging projects and global working groups, as required.
