What we're looking for

• Experience: At least 12 years of experience in the design and detailed engineering of industrial mechanical and electrical projects, with at least 5 years leading work teams.

Technical Skills:

o Mechanical and thermal design software (SolidWorks, ANSYS Fluent, Inventor).

o Electrical design tools (EPLAN).

• Soft Skills: Critical analytical thinking, rigor in product development methodologies, leadership of specialist engineers, and a focus on technical excellence.

Education & certifications

• Education: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or an Industrial Engineering degree covering both specializations. A Master´s Degree or Ph.D. in power electronics is highly desirable.

Languages

• Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken, is required.

The role

Job Description:

Manage the Electromechanical Engineering department with a focus on high-power electronics, leading the design, development, validation, and implementation of electronic power converters, electric drive systems, industrial power supplies, and energy conversion solutions, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, quality, reliability, and cost requirements.

What you'll do

• Supervision of electromechanical design: Review and validate drawings for electrical systems (medium/high voltage) and mechanical systems (structures, pneumatics).

• Supervision of Mechanical Design and Thermal Management: Oversee 3D modelling of the chassis and the internal layout of the equipment (packaging), and lead simulations of forced-air or liquid cooling to ensure proper heat dissipation.

• Resource and Budget Management: Manage the department's budget, set key performance indicators (KPIs), and lead the technical team under your supervision.

• Technical and Document Control: Approve manufacturing standards, work instructions, roadmaps, and technical change control.

• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all mechanical and electrical installations strictly comply with technical and occupational safety regulations.
