The role

Job description

From Nortempo Selección we are looking for an Electromechanical Technician (M/F) to join a leading company in temporary power generation solutions located in Girona city.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Diagnosis and resolution of complex faults in generator sets.

  • Technical support to workshops and field technicians.

  • Analysis of recurring incidents and definition of corrective actions.

  • Preparation of technical procedures and work standards.

  • Supervision of high economic impact repairs.

  • Review of temporary power installations.

  • Sizing of generator sets.

  • Validation of synchronism and parallel operation.

  • Supervision of special installations.

  • Monitoring of the technical condition of the fleet.

  • Control of technical campaigns and updates.

  • Definition of preventive maintenance plans.

  • Monitoring of equipment availability and reliability.

  • Coordination with manufacturers and suppliers.

  • Technical coordination with branches in Andalusia and Extremadura.

  • Prioritization of resources in critical incidents.

  • Support in high complexity interventions.

  • Ensuring compliance with electrical regulations and occupational risk prevention (PRL).

  • Supervising safe work procedures.

Requirements

  • Education: Electrical/Industrial Engineering or Higher Degree in Electricity or Electromechanics with experience.
  • Experience of more than 2 years in temporary power generation or industrial generator sets, diagnosing complex faults, with experience in medium and high power installations and with the ability to coordinate technical teams.
  • Availability to resolve urgent breakdowns.
  • Driving licence B.
  • Required technical knowledge:

Generator sets

  • Diesel generator sets up to 2,000 KVA.
  • Cummins, Perkins, MTU, Volvo, Scania engines or similar.
  • Stamford, Leroy Somer and Mecc Alte alternators.

Electrical systems

  • LV switchboards.
  • Synchronism and parallel operation.
