Tech Lead Hands-on (AI-Native Engineering)

• Solid experience in software development (backend and, ideally, notions of frontend).

• Previous experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead, or similar profile.

• Real practical experience with agentic development tools (Claude Code, Codex, or similar).

• Solid knowledge of software architecture and systems design.

At Q-tech, we are looking for a Tech Lead for a luxury travel sector tech startup, with private funding and a product already in production.

This is a small company with a very well-developed technological base: modular architecture, 100% infrastructure as code, and a large part of the development cycle (code writing, testing, documentation, production monitoring) already delegated to AI agents that work semi-autonomously under human supervision.

We are looking for a Tech Lead with a strong technical orientation and high execution capacity to become the company's internal technical reference, the first piece of a team that is still to be built.

Until now, the product has been developed by an external technical team. The goal now is to internalize that knowledge: this person will take over with support during the transition, and from there will assume full technical ownership of the product.

It is a hybrid role between traditional engineering and "agent-assisted" engineering: in addition to designing, building, and maintaining functionality, the selected person must supervise, adjust, and evolve the ecosystem of AI agents that today write code, fix tests, update documentation, and monitor production.

We are looking for someone with a builder mentality: high autonomy, real comfort with the ambiguity of an early-stage startup, and a genuine desire to build something of their own on an already solid foundation, rather than maintaining already defined processes.

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications and services.

• Define technical architecture and development best practices.

• Actively participate in software development, dedicating most of their time to technical tasks.

• Supervise and evolve the ecosystem of AI agents participating in the development cycle: interpret logs, define evals, detect degradation, and adjust or replace agents.

• Translate business needs into scalable and efficient technological solutions.

• Evaluate technologies, tools, and frameworks based on product needs.

• Establish and maintain development, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.

• Guarantee the quality, security, and scalability of the developed solutions.

• Identify technical risks and propose solutions proactively.

• Collaborate closely with founders and stakeholders to define priorities and the technological roadmap.

• Contribute to the future construction of the technical team as the company grows.

• On-site position, in our offices in central Madrid. 1 day of remote work per week.

• Development is intensively supported by agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, and similar); a large part of technical execution involves directing and supervising these agents, not just writing code by hand.

• Backend: Laravel (PHP), modular architecture.

• Integrations with travel sector providers.
