As Team Lead Analytics, you will guide the analytics domain within our Business Intelligence team while remaining hands-on with data models and our semantic layer. Your mission is to build and maintain the path from raw data to trusted, self-service insights through robust dbt models, a rich semantic model, a well-structured Looker ecosystem, reliable investor metrics, and enriched CRM data for commercial teams.
This is a player-coach role split equally between team leadership (prioritization, coaching, stakeholder alignment) and direct technical contributions (dbt, semantic modeling, and Looker).
The team member shall perform the present tasks inherent to such position, including, but not limited to, the following:
Team Leadership & Delivery: Lead the Analytics vertical (analytics engineering, business analysis, CRM data) by setting priorities, coaching team members, fostering clear ownership, and ensuring high-quality delivery. You will be responsible for fostering engagement, performance, and growth.
Data Modeling & Semantic Layer: Own the data modeling layer end-to-end by designing, building, and reviewing dbt models across a medallion architecture, while enriching the semantic model to keep Looker (LookML, explores, views) consistent, reliable, and optimized for self-service reporting.
Data Governance & CRM Operations: Govern investor reporting metrics, defining, reconciling, and ensuring every number reported to leadership and investors is accurate, traceable, and reproducible, while steering CRM data enrichment to ensure cleaned customer and supplier records sync reliably with the data warehouse for commercial teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the bridge to the business partnering with business analysts to gather and prioritize stakeholder requirements, balance Looker self-service tools against ad hoc analysis, and translate business needs into data models, explores, and reports, while partnering with Data Engineering on ingestion, pipeline reliability, warehouse architecture, and formal data contracts.
Engineering Standards & Continuous Improvement: Uphold technical excellence by establishing code/design reviews, dbt tests, CI/CD, data quality monitoring, and operational runbooks, while acting as a catalyst to simplify, consolidate, or retire legacy models and introduce efficient tooling.
