Quirónsalud Hospital Córdoba is seeking an OPERATING ROOM NURSE with at least one year of experience in the surgical block, whose mission is to provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, promoting health education, coordinating with the rest of the team members, applying the knowledge specific to their role, and following the guidelines established by the center based on the area's care protocols, contributing to delivering a service of excellent quality.

General responsibilities: 1. Be proactive in identifying and communicating suggestions, non-conformities, risks, etc., detected in the work area. Maintain the environment, equipment, and work materials in excellent condition so that processes can be carried out correctly. Comply with the procedures and work instructions applicable to their processes, including occupational health and safety regulations. Complete the necessary records in the development of their work.

Specific responsibilities of the position: 1. Attend to the requirements of the surgeon and anesthesiologist during the surgical procedure. 2. Collaborate with the surgical team in all activities within their competence. 3. Inform the medical staff of any alteration presented by the patient and report all defects or incidents observed to the unit supervisor, completing the appropriate documents when necessary. 4. Collect the narcotics sheet duly completed by the anesthesiologist. 5. Correctly record operating room expenses in the computer system, including material and medication consumption, use of devices, as well as any other use that may generate a cost for the patient. 6. Perform high-level disinfection/sterilization of the laryngoscope blade after intubation and at the end of surgery. 7. Review and control the stock of materials and medication in their unit, taking into account the forecasting needs of the other shifts, together with the assigned staff, and collect unused sterile instruments for reuse. 8. Responsible for anticipating all the needs of the surgery. It is important to verify the availability of specific instruments, as well as prostheses to be implanted if required. 9. Prepare the expired gas filter, connected to the capnograph inside its packaging, the anesthesia suction with tubing and probe, and check its correct operation. 10. Check the correct condition of the defibrillators, if applicable, and in case of failure, notify the supervisor and replace with a ventilator that is not operational during the shift. 11. Prepare the necessary material for each surgical procedure, as well as assist the medical team in interventions according to the protocols established by each medical-surgical specialty. 12. Collect the instruments and material at the end of the intervention. 13. Inform the unit supervisor of any incident during the intervention. 14. Perform the count of any material introduced into the patient. 15. If there is a bone bank or grafts, the need will be verified, and they will be responsible for checking the optimal conditions for its use, as well as its prior treatment for proper handling, custody, and registration of biological samples, reporting the time of extraction and the method of preservation. 16. Perform proper hand hygiene.

Requirements

Education: Diploma / Degree in Nursing

Additional training: surgical postgraduate degree/master's

Experience: 3 to 6 months in a similar position.

A license and/or Certificate of Registration with the professional association in the province and residence in Córdoba are required.
