From the private hospitals of Quirónsalud in Madrid, we are looking for an Operating Room Nurse to join our Olympia Surgical Medical Center, located in Torre Caleido (Begoña metro), in the northern area of Madrid.
What you'll do
Provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after the surgical procedure, promoting health education, in coordination with the rest of the team members, applying the knowledge specific to their category, and following the guidelines established by the center based on the care protocols of the area, contributing to offering a service of excellent quality.
- Provide comprehensive care to the surgical patient, guaranteeing their safety, correct identification, and compliance with the nursing care plan throughout the entire care process.
- Inform and accompany the patient and their family members, offering close and high-quality care, providing the necessary information, and appropriately recording the care activity in the clinical history.
- Prepare and verify the material, instruments, and equipment necessary for each surgical intervention, ensuring their correct functioning and availability.
- Assist the medical team during interventions, attending to the requirements of surgeons and anesthesiologists in accordance with the established protocols of each specialty.
- Act effectively in critical situations and emergencies, notifying any incident or clinical alteration to the medical staff and the corresponding supervisors.
- Manage and control the stock of medical supplies, instruments, and medication, guaranteeing their correct preservation, replenishment, reuse where appropriate, and compliance with disinfection protocols.
- Perform the administrative and care records associated with surgical activity, including the consumption of materials and medication, specific documentation, and control of narcotics.
- Collaborate in the organization of the surgical unit, supervising support staff when appropriate, and maintaining an attitude oriented toward continuous learning and professional development.
