Backend Engineer

If this sounds like you, we encourage you to take on this challenge. We are looking for professionals with solid backend development experience and strong engineering practices:

• Demonstrated experience in backend software development (7+ years of track record or equivalent technical impact is valued).
• Proficiency in Python and API/service design.
• Strong architectural judgment in distributed systems, failure management, and relational database design / data modeling.
• Experience operating services in Cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Good practices in clean code, testing, CI/CD, observability, and production support.
• Hands-on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Sensitivity to and good practices in security, privacy, and data protection.

It would also be a plus if you are familiar with (Nice to have):

• FastAPI, Terraform, Amazon EKS, PostgreSQL / Aurora.
• Asynchronous processing and event-driven systems.
• Real-world integration of AI and LLMs in production environments.

Are you passionate about programming and looking to further your career as a Senior Backend Engineer leading AI and LLM integration projects in complex production systems?

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Design, build, and operate scalable services and APIs in Python for applications with integrated AI.
• Integrate Artificial Intelligence models, LLMs (Large Language Models), and Machine Learning services into production systems.
• Define service boundaries, data models, persistence strategies, and integration contracts.
• Design with a focus on reliability, security, observability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Deploy and operate services in Cloud environments (preferably AWS).
• Manage real AI challenges such as latency, rate limits, retries, structured responses, and sensitive data.
• Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor/tutor other engineers on the team.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers, platform engineers, and architects.
