Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant hands-on experience in power electronics, including professional roles, internships, or applied research.
  • Experience designing, simulating, or testing at least one switched power supply topology for AC/DC or DC/DC applications, using SPICE-based simulation tools.
  • Experience designing or specifying magnetic components, with familiarity with magnetic materials, core geometries, and winding technologies.
  • Experience comparing physics-based models or simulation results with laboratory measurements and using the results to improve model accuracy.
  • Ability to document technical work clearly and contribute to technical reports, application notes, or training materials.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work regularly from our laboratory in Madrid as part of a flexible hybrid model.

Nice to have

  • Experience with planar magnetics, PCB windings, or hybrid windings (Litz wire + PCB or stamped copper foil).
  • Experience using Finite Element Method (FEM) based tools for electromagnetic or thermal simulation. Experience in the development or automation of FEM workflows is an additional advantage.
  • Knowledge of core loss modeling, winding loss modeling, thermal modeling, or capacitance modeling.
  • Previous customer-facing experience, such as application support, design reviews, technical demonstrations, or workshops.

The role

Are you interested in working in a constantly growing environment? Do you want to join a leading company in power electronics?

This opportunity is ideal for you!

What you'll do

As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will focus on the design, simulation, and laboratory validation of magnetic components and physical models. You will combine a strong technical focus and development of company tools, with 20-30% direct interaction with customers (support and design reviews). You will work alongside senior engineers to progressively assume full autonomy in your own projects.

  • Contribute to developing, validating, and improving the physics-based models behind the platform, including core losses, winding losses, thermal behavior, and capacitance, comparing them through benchmarking against laboratory measurements and simulation results.
  • Design and specify magnetic components for model validation, including transformers, inductors, common-mode chokes, and planar magnetics, for AC/DC, DC/DC, and other different topologies.
  • Plan and execute laboratory tests on magnetic components, analyze the results, and compare them with simulation and model predictions.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Product and Technology team to translate modeling and design needs into platform features, application notes, and technical content.
  • Dedicate approximately 20-30% of your time to customer-facing work, including design reviews, simulation walkthroughs, and application support.
  • Occasionally support technical demonstrations, requests for quotation (RFQs), training activities, and industry events.
