At Randstad, we are looking for a Financial Models Technician to join an internationally renowned mining-metallurgical project in Cobre Las Cruces, driven by innovation, sustainability, and long-term value creation.
-Develop, maintain, and optimize economic and financial models for the company's strategic investment projects, providing rigorous analysis to support investment decision-making, business development, the evaluation of growth opportunities, and the company's long-term planning.
-The position will act as a link between technical, operational, and financial teams, transforming complex information into analysis that allows for the maximization of value creation and the proper management of risks associated with new projects and operations.
-PMR Financial Model Management: Maintain and update the master financial models for industrial, mining, and metallurgical projects. Integrate information coming from the engineering, construction, mine, metallurgy, operations, and procurement areas. Ensure consistency between the technical and financial parameters of the project.
-Investment Decision Support: Prepare financial analyses for investment decision-making and capital approval. Update business cases as costs, schedules, and operating parameters evolve. Evaluate opportunities for the economic optimization of the project.
-Economic Evaluation: Develop NPV, IRR, Payback, EBITDA, and Free Cash Flow analyses, as well as various scenarios. Analyze the impact of key variables such as: metal prices, energy costs, production and metallurgical recoveries, CAPEX and OPEX, inflation, and exchange rates.
-Risk and Scenario Management: Perform probabilistic analyses and sensitivity simulations. Identify risks that may affect project profitability. Develop base, conservative, and optimistic cases for Management.
-Stakeholder Relations: Prepare financial information for shareholders. Participate in periodic reviews with corporate teams. Provide financial support during technical and economic audits. Collaborate with banks, technical consultancies, and financial institutions when necessary.
-Executive Reporting: Collaborate in the preparation of reports for: the Steering Committee, the Board of Directors, and funding entities.
