Product Parameterization Engineer

At RDT we are looking for a Product Parameterization Engineer whose main mission is to develop, maintain, and optimize parametric product models that allow for the automatic generation of valid configurations using Excel tools integrated with SolidWorks.

Their main objective is to transform engineering knowledge, regulatory constraints, and physical product limits into robust design rules that facilitate the industrialization and scalability of the different product families.

• Design and maintain parametric models in SolidWorks.

• Create and manage Design Tables linked to Excel.

• Define variables, equations, and configuration rules.

• Automate the generation of product variants, minimizing repetitive design work.

• Translate technical requirements into formulas and mathematical constraints.

• Define valid ranges for dimensional and functional parameters.

• Establish dependencies between components, subassemblies, and systems.

• Ensure that all generated configurations are technically viable.

• Understand the physical phenomena that limit design (mechanical strength, deformations, fatigue, weight, stability, heat transfer, etc.).

• Incorporate constraints derived from applicable regulations, internal standards, and customer requirements.

• Ensure that generated configurations comply with manufacturing and assembly limitations.

• Define modular product architectures.

• Bound the design space to avoid off-catalog or low-viability variants.

• Evolve product families by incorporating new functionalities without compromising overall coherence.

• Create advanced Excel tools using:

  • Complex formulas.

  • Data exchange automations with SolidWorks.

• Participate in initiatives for the automation and digitalization of the engineering process.

• SolidWorks (advanced level).
