About the role

At RDT Ingenieros we are looking to hire an E&IC Project Engineer (Electrical, Instrumentation and Control) to participate in industrial projects in Lesaka, with the possibility of combining projects in Etxebarri.

We are looking for a person with experience in comprehensive management of industrial projects, monitoring and supervision of works and coordination of contractors, who also brings solid technical knowledge in automation and control.

You will participate in industrial projects both in the preparation and implementation phases, providing support to Project Managers and participating directly in the field.

What experience and knowledge are we looking for?

  • Experience in comprehensive management of projects in industrial environments, monitoring of works and coordination of contractors.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in industrial environments will be positively valued, although it is not an excluding requirement.

  • Knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs and TIA Portal.

  • Knowledge of SCADA systems.

  • Knowledge of level 1 and level 2 industrial networks.

  • Experience in interpreting and reading electrical diagrams.

  • Knowledge of KOP/AWL (LAD/STL) programming, valued as a plus.

  • Experience in electrical retrofits and electrical automation systems.

  • Knowledge of variable speed drives and servomotors, preferably Siemens.

  • Ability to work in English in a professional environment, participating in meetings, reviewing technical documentation and interacting with international suppliers or collaborators.

Safety and competencies

We are looking for a person with a strong safety culture, demanding and uncompromising when it comes to deviations, but especially focused on risk prevention and anticipation.

Basic safety training of 80 hours will be valued for qualification as a construction site execution director, work authorizer, and lockout/tagout officer.

Additionally, it will be important to have:

  • Ability to identify, analyze and manage risks and establish mitigation measures.

  • Ability to integrate and coordinate with different Project Managers.

  • Good communication and negotiation skills, especially in the relationship with the production facilities.

  • High capacity for writing and structuring documentation, being a methodical and rigorous person.

  • Autonomy and judgment to make decisions during execution and knowing when they must be previously reviewed with the Project Manager.
