Ingeteam, a leading company specializing in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, and frequency converters, is looking to hire an Electrical Solutions Design Technician for its Hydrogen Business Unit at our Zamudio facilities to respond to customer requests, carrying out the following functions:
Perform advanced technical calculations, simulations, and sizing to design new power solutions for the electrical supply of electrolyzers in response to customer specifications.
Respond to specific customer requests regarding product features, technical calculations, or operational performance.
Select and specify relevant power components (transformers, protections, auxiliary systems, etc.) according to the needs of the project or customer.
Develop accurate technical documentation based on analyses, calculations, or simulation results, for internal use or for presentation to the customer.
Ensure that proposed technical solutions comply with applicable regulatory and quality standards (IEC, UL, CSA).
Analyze and coordinate with different departments to determine the best overall product.
Participate in generating new ideas and strategies to improve existing products or optimize ongoing designs.
Act as the liaison between the commercial area, the technical area, and customers.
University degree in Electrical / Electronic / Automation Engineering
Postgraduate degree in Power Electronics, Renewable Energies, automation, electronic and control engineering...
Technical knowledge of power converters, electrical systems, and grid connection.
Advanced English
Experience in the energy sector
Technical knowledge of MV transformers and MV switchgear.
Previous experience in similar positions
