We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Madrid.

What you'll do

  • Provide technical support during the sales and proposal stages.
  • Participate in internal and customer project kick-off meetings for assigned projects.
  • Review tender documentation against customer specifications, Sécheron standards, and cost calculations.
  • Coordinate and conduct site surveys when required, including international travel.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive mechanical engineering designs for assigned projects.
  • Prepare detailed manufacturing documentation to support production.
  • Provide engineering support to production, including functional testing and customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) when required.
  • Support the Project Manager during customer reviews and approvals of mechanical designs.
  • Prepare and coordinate technical responses to customer inquiries through the Project Manager.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the energy transmission and distribution industry or in the design of special-purpose industrial machinery.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Ability to communicate in English; Spanish, French, German or Portuguese would be a plus.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a team.
