The role
Job description
At Sener Mobility we offer a paid internship of at least 6 months within the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) department.
We are looking for profiles for our different offices: Bilbao and Barcelona.
The MEP discipline is responsible for the conception and detailed development of electromechanical installations, buildings, and infrastructure in general. Electromechanical installations comprise the following systems: HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), Ventilation
(including tunnel ventilation, TVS), Fire Protection, Plumbing, Lighting, and Low Voltage electrical projects.
In the context of an engineering services company for installations, an intern working in the fire protection and plumbing installation areas could have the following duties:
Application of regulatory requirements: studying the regulations applicable to the design of fire protection and plumbing installations for buildings and infrastructure, both at a national level (CTE, RSCIEI, UNE) and international level (NFPA, IPC, etc.).
Design assistance: performing calculations to size installations according to the characteristics of the building or infrastructure, including fire detection and alarm systems, sprinkler networks, hydrants, water supply systems, and potable and sanitary water distribution networks.
Preparation of project deliverables: providing support for the preparation of drawings, diagrams, and technical specifications for the equipment and components of the different systems, such as water pumps, pipes, valves, sprinklers, smoke detectors, and other safety and plumbing devices.
Preparation of project technical documentation: collaborating in the preparation of manuals, protocols, and procedures for the operation and maintenance of fire protection and plumbing installations.
Technical support: supporting the engineering team in solving problems, incidents, and design improvements, ensuring that the installations comply with the required safety and efficiency standards.
What we expect from you
Be in the final year of a Degree or Master's related to Electrical Engineering and be able to sign a Collaboration Agreement with the University during the academic year.
Advanced English B2-C1.
Good personal organization skills for managing work and tasks.
Initiative and proactivity when proposing different approaches and points of view.
The most important thing we ask of you is not experience, since that is part of what the Sener group offers you, but rather the desire to work and learn in an excellent working environment.
