We are looking to add a Business Developer specialized in CE Marking and Machinery Safety to our Barcelona team.

This is a position with a key role in the growth of our Industrial Safety business, leading the development of a strategic line with great expansion potential. We are looking for someone with a solid technical background in industrial engineering, commercial vision, and the ability to generate new business opportunities, develop a team, and become a technical reference for the activity in the area.

YOUR MISSION:

You will be responsible for driving the growth of Machinery Safety and CE Marking services in the Barcelona team, working closely with clients, technical teams, and product managers to consolidate and expand this strategic activity within SGS.

Your role will combine commercial development, technical advisory, and leadership, actively contributing to the creation and growth of the team in the region.

WHAT WILL YOU DO ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS?

   - Identify and develop new business opportunities in the field of Machinery Safety and CE Marking.

   - Manage relationships with industrial clients and generate new strategic accounts.

   - Prepare and defend high-value-added technical-commercial proposals.

   - Provide technical advice to machinery manufacturers and users on regulatory compliance and safety.

   - Participate in machinery evaluation and compliance projects in accordance with applicable regulations.

   - Collaborate with product managers to drive the technical development of services in the area.

   - Design and deliver training sessions and technical workshops focused on Machinery Safety regulations, risk assessment, and CE Marking requirements.

   - Ensure the correct technical execution of CE Marking and Machinery Safety projects developed in the area, ensuring compliance with SGS quality standards.

More than a technical specialist, we are looking for someone capable of combining engineering knowledge with a client- and growth-oriented mindset. A professional with initiative to develop the market, generate opportunities, collaborate on the technical definition of the value proposition, and contribute to building a reference team in Machinery Safety and CE Marking within SGS Barcelona.

Requirements

- Degree in Industrial Engineering.

- A specialization in safety from a Master's in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL) is valued.

- Knowledge of machinery safety, risk analysis, industrial regulations, and/or CE Marking.

- Experience in industrial environments with direct client contact.

- Clear orientation toward business development and the ability to identify commercial opportunities.

- Communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

- Ability to lead projects, coordinate teams, and work cross-functionally with different areas of the organization.

- High level of Spanish, Catalan, and English.

- Availability for occasional travel.
