The role

πŸ—οΈ Integration Architect | GCP

At Tecdata Engineering, we are looking to hire an Integration Architect to lead the definition and evolution of the integration architecture for a leading company.

We are looking for a hands-on profile, with real experience in integration architectures, APIs, events, and cloud, capable of combining architectural vision with technical capacity and team leadership.

Define the company's target integration architecture and lead the team responsible for putting it into practice.

The objective will be to ensure that applications undergoing migration processes have their integrations redesigned, implemented, tested, and documented, as well as establishing a common standard for all new integrations.

What you'll do

  • Define the target integration model, establishing synchronous/asynchronous patterns, orchestration/choreography, and technology adoption criteria.

  • Design and govern API and event-oriented architecture standards.

  • Establish contract governance through OpenAPI and AsyncAPI, including versioning, lifecycle, and compatibility.

  • Lead the evolution of integrations associated with different application migration processes.

  • Design and develop new integrations for existing and new applications.

  • Lead the modernization of legacy integrations, especially those based on IBM MQ or equivalent technologies, WebSphere, JBoss, and point-to-point architectures.

  • Drive the evolution towards modern architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Define strategies for observability, traceability, error management, retries, idempotency, and dead-letter queues.

  • Work jointly with Cybersecurity on service authentication, secrets management, and secure interface exposure.

  • Lead, size, and professionally develop the technical team.

  • Act as a technical reference for providers and other architecture teams.

  • Ensure technical and architectural documentation follows corporate standards.

How you'll work

πŸ“ Location: Alcobendas (Madrid)
🏒 Modality: Hybrid - 2 days on-site/week
πŸ’Ό Stable, long-term project

What profile are we looking for?

We are looking for an architect who combines strategic vision, leadership, and real technical capacity.

We are not looking for a profile that is exclusively documentation-based or solely oriented toward defining diagrams and standards. We need a person who has participated directly in the design, development, modernization, and operation of integrations in production.

Nor are we looking for a specialist focused exclusively on a commercial integration suite or a profile purely oriented toward data.
