About the role

The SQL Server Database Systems Architect will play a strategic role in the design, technical validations, and deployment of IT/Cloud solutions and projects that address our clients' needs, primarily in the database field and more specifically in SQL SERVER. Knowledge and solid understanding of all technological and computing systems in on-premise and private cloud environments, as well as public cloud, including front-end platforms, servers, storage, and administration networks.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, deploying, and overseeing infrastructures, establishing and leading continuous improvement dynamics for their maintenance. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share technical knowledge.

Design, development, and technical validations of complex solutions in private, public (CCPP), or hybrid environments.

Internal technological leadership within Telefónica TECH for IT transformation projects and client systems.

Work closely and collaboratively with Engineering teams and our Telefónica clients to devise effective solutions that meet current and future needs and expectations.

Technical validations of client solutions.

Documentation of HLD and LLD designs and associated transition processes.

Your day-to-day:

Design and document structured enterprise architectures.

Definition of technical transition processes that safeguard service availability, risks, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.

Design and collaboration in implementation/transformation, together with Tech technical teams, mainly within the SQL Server ecosystem.

Technical leadership and coordination within the scope of projects.

Experience

At least 5 years of experience as an architect on large technology consulting projects / system infrastructures for major clients and corporations.

Experience in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions in private cloud, with possible evolution to public cloud in some services.

Demonstrated experience in previous roles at large companies with international and multicultural environments.

Education

Required:

Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or similar.

Technical knowledge

Deep knowledge and experience in the database field is required, with SQL Server being essential and other database engines such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc. highly valued.
