What we're looking for
- Engineering degree currently in progress.
- Ability to sign an internship collaboration agreement with the university where you are completing your studies.
- Genuine interest in water treatment technologies and Product Management.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, with a minimum C1 level in both languages. This is an essential requirement.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Proactive, collaborative and eager to learn within an experienced international Product Management team.
Nice to have
- A Master’s degree in Engineering, Water Treatment or a related field currently in progress would be highly valued.
- Basic knowledge of industrial water treatment processes, such as reverse osmosis, CEDI and filtration, would be an advantage.
The role
The intern will join the Technical Department and work alongside a highly experienced Product Management team. This internship will be carried out under a collaboration agreement between the company and the university at which the student is enrolled. It will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about product management, water treatment technologies, product development and the full product life cycle in an international environment.
Under the guidance of the Product Managers, the intern will collaborate, participate in and provide support to the following activities:
- Support the development, design, standardization and continuous improvement of skid-mounted water treatment units, taking market requirements into account.
- Assist the Product Management team in reviewing product requirements and identifying potential improvements.
- Collaborate with the Engineering, C&I, CAD, Customer Service and Procurement teams on product updates and evolutions.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications and product documentation.
- Participate in the preparation and update of technical and commercial documentation for different product lines.
- Assist in researching customer expectations, market trends and supplier innovations.
- Provide support to the workshop by helping to prepare technical information for the manufacture and improvement of standard products.
- Support the sizing and preliminary design of pre-engineered systems during tender and execution phases.
- Assist the Business Development team during the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process by helping to prepare product definitions, specifications and technical information.
- Collaborate with Veolia Business Units worldwide by providing support related to the sale, installation and operation of standard products.
- Gain an understanding of product life-cycle management, cross-functional collaboration and the application of the Technical Department’s methodology within the Quality Management System.
By the end of the internship, the intern will have developed practical knowledge of product management, technical documentation, water treatment systems, customer and market requirements, and cooperation with multidisciplinary and international teams.
