The role
Execute the tasks of care, attention, and treatment of the patient in the hospitalization units. Assuming responsibility for all the care the patient requires from their admission until discharge and education for home follow-up if necessary.
What you'll do
1. Attend to the patients of the assigned unit, completing all corresponding procedures and providing them with the necessary information regarding their situation and necessary management, ensuring the correct subsequent traceability of actions. Complete documents on patient evaluation, carry out a care plan according to the information obtained, needs, observations, and medical treatment.
2. Provide accompaniment and support to the patient, both initially and continuously, during their admission, resolving any doubts that may arise and guiding them to the different rooms and/or spaces.
3. Carry out care and dressings according to the patient's pathology and the protocols established by the doctors, performing control and monitoring of their evolution.
4. Provide information about the shift and any incidents that arose to the next shift team, allowing for the coordination of actions and the monitoring of protocols.
5. Perform requests for tests in the management platform, following the doctor's prescriptions.
6. Support counter service tasks, coordinating with assistants to provide correct service to patients and hospitalized individuals.
7. Offer all information required by patients and relatives.
8. Ensure correct waste segregation and hand hygiene performance.
9. Carry out health education actions with patients and relatives, giving advice on the actions or indications for treatment follow-up to facilitate the healing process of each pathology.
