The role
Perform general management activities related to the surgical block (Operating Room Circulation and Material Management) in a timely and proper manner, ensuring that they are carried out according to the designed planning.
What you'll do
1. Monitor the reception of the patient in the intervention areas (outpatient / hospital admission) of the operating room, verifying their identity, performing the relevant check-list, and accompanying them in a timely and proper manner to the pre-anesthesia area ("Surgery Circulation").
2. Effectively manage the relationship with the patient, appropriately managing possible situations of anxiety or stress.
3. Perform the preparation of all elements and materials necessary to execute the interventions/surgeries of the next shift, or in its case, current emergencies.
4. Organize and store surgical equipment, general intervention material, and pharmaceutical elements.
5. Process the instruments from the interventions/surgeries for subsequent sterilization, executing the necessary cleaning and disinfection activities.
6. Verify and control the correct labeling and identification of samples/biopsies in coordination with the pathology area.
7. Perform the administrative management of both outpatient and surgical intervention/surgery activity, managing calls and emails with notation of all related tasks, including operating room reservations, as well as feeding the internal system with the relevant billing data (costs/expenses) for subsequent processing
