Job description

We are WEBEDIA!

At Webedia we create, produce and distribute digital content designed for new generations, in any format or platform. We manage the leading Spanish-language media outlets with brands as well-known as Xataka, SensaCine, 3DJuegos, DAP, Motorpasión or Trendencias, among others, titles that each month accumulate 200 million visits and 250 million page views, as well as powerful multiplatform digital media such as Upeka, A Bote Pronto or CrossOver.

Webedia is also a reference in the world of influence and content creation with talents through VIZZ, an agency that exclusively represents some of the biggest Spanish-language content creators, such as Rubius, Nil Ojeda, Cristinini, IlloJuan or DjMaRiiO, among others.

In addition, we develop large-format audiovisual productions for all types of platforms, such as Rubius's series: Next Level for Prime Video, IlloJuan's Menuda Cebada shows or Nil Ojeda's 21-day challenge, and we are responsible for events and special launches such as El Partidazo de Youtubers, Rubius's technology products or the fragrance by IlloJuan and DjMaRiiO, among others. All of this makes up an endless array of exciting projects developed by our diverse and multicultural team of nearly 200 people in our Madrid and Barcelona offices.

We invite you to take a look at this opportunity, you won't regret it.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Video Editor / Filmmaker with a primary focus on editing, passionate about national football and with an absolute command of the YouTube language, social media and everyday trends (from TikTok to Twitter/X humor).

We are looking for a versatile, all-round profile: although your main focus and day-to-day work will be dedicated to the company's sports content, we need someone with the flexibility and technical judgment required to adapt their audiovisual style and collaborate on editing content for the rest of our leading brands (Xataka, SensaCine, DAP, 3DJuegos, etc.).

The ideal candidate should have advanced technical skills in video editing and the ability to lead the audiovisual process from start to finish: from set preparation and shooting to final post-production. We are looking for someone with narrative vision and attention to detail, able to work both independently on simple shoots and in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (production, editorial, talents).

With this opportunity, we aim to make a qualitative leap in our content through new formats that can continue to drive our growth.

If you have a dynamic and talented profile and are interested in working closely with the brilliant minds of our development, product and sales teams at Webedia, this is YOUR opportunity.

What are the main responsibilities?

  • Editing and production of both editorial and Branded Content for mainly sports projects (for example: A Bote Pronto, our YouTube channel with a presence on social media and +300k followers, where we publish daily content about Spanish football) bringing entertainment, freshness and integrating agile narratives, memes and current trends.

  • Collaborate with the editorial team to turn scripts and briefings into visual pieces that engage the audience.

  • Lead recordings primarily in the studio but also on location, being responsible for the image (camera, lighting...) and sound.

  • Multi-IP audiovisual support: Edit and adapt audiovisual content for other group titles (technology at Xataka, film/TV at SensaCine, gastronomy at DAP, etc.) according to the team's needs.

What are the requirements?

  • Higher Vocational Training in Audiovisual Communication, Production or related fields.

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in similar positions.

  • Advanced command of Premiere Pro.

  • Having your finger on the pulse and being up to date with current editing styles. Rhythm, trends, memes.

  • Experience with DSLR cameras (Sony, Canon C70, Black Magic 6k...), gimbals and stabilizers such as Zhinyu, Crane, Ronin M, among others.

  • Knowledge of lighting on studio and outdoor sets.

  • Basic sound knowledge (microphones and basic audio editing).

  • Digital and sports culture: Deep knowledge of national football and fluent handling of the codes, language and humor of social media (X, TikTok, YouTube).

  • Good level of English (B2-C1).

We especially value:

  • Basic Motion Graphics knowledge (After Effects) to illustrate and graphically support videos.

  • Proficiency with Photoshop and the ability to create attractive thumbnails for YouTube.

  • Skill and sensitivity in color grading (Lumetri / DaVinci Resolve).

  • Fluent handling of live production software (OBS / vMix) to record horizontal videos for the A Bote Pronto YouTube channel in a fake-live format, with the implementation of images and videos during recording.

What do we offer?

  • Excellent working environment with a dynamic, creative team passionate about digital entertainment.

  • Working with some of the most relevant brands, publishers and creators in the gaming and digital ecosystem.

  • Participation in innovative projects and high-impact campaigns within the sector.

  • Responsibility from day one and real opportunities for professional growth.

  • Permanent contract.

  • Salary range: €22,000 fixed gross annual salary + up to €2,200 gross annual variable bonus.

  • Full-time position of 37.5 hours per week.

  • Hybrid model with the possibility of working remotely 2 days per week.

  • 22 vacation days per year + 3 additional days assigned by the company.

  • Intensive working day during July and August.

  • Continuous training.

  • Flexible compensation: Restaurant tickets, transportation and childcare.

  • 50% coverage of health insurance.

  • Offices in Madrid in a dynamic and well-connected environment.
