About the role

Due to the significant growth experienced in the Environment | WSP sector, we are looking to enhance the capabilities of our Environmental Consulting, Sustainability and ESG | WSP team in Madrid, Santander, or Valladolid by adding an ESG Due Diligence and Environmental Audits Specialist.

What is the role?
We want to add to our team a specialist in Due Diligence and audits in environmental, Health and Safety, and ESG areas. The selected person will bring experience in leading and executing due diligence processes, as well as in EHS/ESG risk assessment projects, regulatory compliance reviews, and environmental management system audits. They will collaborate with clients from various sectors, ensuring a high level of technical rigor and excellence in project delivery.

What you'll do

Your main functions will include providing environmental, Health and Safety, and social consulting in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes of companies and assets, as well as participating in regulatory compliance audits and supply chain audit programs, ensuring methodological rigor and traceability of information. You will also support project managers in gathering information, document management, and preparing technical reports and commercial proposals, collaborating on risk assessment projects, peer reviews, data analysis and interpretation, and developing presentations and deliverables. You will also contribute to preparing bids and managing client relationships, identifying opportunities and adding value from your specialty, proposing technical solutions aligned with the company's quality standards and best practices, and coordinating assigned teams and resources to ensure compliance with milestones, deadlines, and excellence levels in projects.

We are looking for a professional with a higher education degree and specialization in environment/ESG (Environmental Engineering, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar), bringing a minimum of 10 years of experience in conducting ESG/EHS due diligence and management system audits. A solid knowledge of Spanish legislation on ESG, environment, and safety is required, as well as experience in project management and client interaction. A demonstrable advanced English level (C1), a driver's license, and availability for occasional travel are essential. Additionally, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team will be valued, along with a high commitment to responding to client needs and meeting project deadlines.
