Due to strong growth in our Buildings | WSP area, we want to join an Industrial Engineer (electrical specialty) or equivalent degree to our Data Centers | WSP team in Madrid to lead the design and coordination of electrical installations in Data Center projects (hyperscale, colocation, and edge) and other critical facilities.
Your main responsibilities will include technically leading the electrical installations discipline in Data Center projects and critical facilities, participating in all project phases, from conceptual design to execution. You will be responsible for defining design criteria, supervising calculations and technical deliverables, and ensuring compliance with regulations and established quality standards.
You will also coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers and modelers, collaborating closely with other disciplines and with clients, collaborating engineering firms, construction companies, and suppliers. Additionally, you will participate in the preparation of technical and economic proposals, provide support during project execution, and contribute to team development through mentoring and knowledge transfer.
We are looking for a professional with a degree in Industrial Engineering (electrical specialty), Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or similar, who has more than 10 years of experience in the design and coordination of electrical installations for unique building projects, industry, or infrastructure. We will especially value experience leading engineering and BIM modeling teams, as well as the ability to coordinate disciplines, manage deliverables, and communicate with clients in the development of complex projects.
It is important to provide experience in medium and low voltage installations, energy backup systems, lighting, and grounding, as well as knowledge of applicable regulations and calculation and modeling tools. Additionally, a C1 level of Spanish and English and availability to travel are required.
We will especially value experience in Data Center projects, as well as participation in international projects, technical or project management certifications, and knowledge of German or French.
