Mechanical Installations Manager - Data Centers

We are looking for a professional with a degree in Industrial Engineering (mechanical or energy specialty), Energy Engineering, or similar, who has more than 10 years of experience in the design and coordination of mechanical installations (HVAC, plumbing, sanitation, and fire protection) for unique building, industrial, or infrastructure projects. We will especially value experience leading engineering and BIM modeling teams, as well as the ability to coordinate disciplines, manage deliverables, and interact with clients in the development of complex projects.

It is important to provide experience in the design of air conditioning, plumbing, sanitation, and fire protection systems, as well as knowledge of applicable regulations and calculation and modeling tools. Additionally, a C1 level of Spanish and English and availability to travel are required.

We will especially value experience in Data Center projects, participation in international projects, technical or project management certifications, and knowledge of German or French.

Due to the strong growth in our Building | WSP area, we want to incorporate into our Data Centers | WSP team in Madrid an Industrial Engineer (mechanical or energy specialty) or equivalent degree to lead the design and coordination of mechanical installations (HVAC, plumbing, sanitation, and fire protection) in Data Center projects (hyperscale, colocation, and edge) and other critical facilities.

Among your main responsibilities will be to provide technical leadership for the mechanical installations discipline in Data Center and critical facility projects, participating in all project phases, from conceptual design to execution. You will be responsible for defining design criteria, supervising calculations and technical deliverables, and ensuring compliance with regulations and established quality standards.

You will also coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers and modelers, collaborating closely with other disciplines, clients, collaborating engineering firms, construction companies, and suppliers. Additionally, you will participate in the preparation of technical and economic proposals, provide support during project execution, and contribute to team development through mentoring and knowledge transfer.
