Due to strong growth in our Building | WSP area, we want to add to our Data Centers | WSP team in Madrid an Industrial Engineer (mechanical or energy specialty) or equivalent qualification to lead the design and coordination of mechanical installations (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection) in Data Center projects (hyperscale, colocation, and edge) and other critical facilities.

Your main responsibilities will include technically leading the mechanical installations discipline in Data Center and critical facility projects, participating in all project phases, from conceptual design to execution. You will be responsible for defining design criteria, overseeing calculations and technical deliverables, and ensuring compliance with regulations and established quality standards.

You will also coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers and modelers, collaborating closely with other disciplines, clients, partner engineering firms, contractors, and suppliers. Additionally, you will participate in preparing technical and commercial proposals, provide support during project execution, and contribute to team development through mentoring and knowledge transfer.

What are we looking for in you?

We are looking for a professional with a degree in Industrial Engineering (mechanical or energy specialty), Energy Engineering, or similar, with more than 10 years of experience in the design and coordination of mechanical installations (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection) for singular building, industrial, or infrastructure projects. Experience leading engineering and BIM modeling teams will be especially valued, as will the ability to coordinate disciplines, manage deliverables, and liaise with clients in the development of complex projects.

It is important to bring experience in the design of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems, as well as knowledge of applicable regulations and calculation and modeling tools. Additionally, a Spanish and English level of C1 and availability to travel are required.

Nice to have

Experience in Data Center projects, participation in international projects, technical or project management certifications, and knowledge of German or French will be especially valued.
