Due to strong growth in our Building | WSP area, we want to add to our Data Centers | WSP team in Madrid an Architect, Industrial Engineer, or Civil Engineer with proven Project Manager and Lead Designer capabilities, to lead the design and management of Data Center projects (hyperscale, colocation, and edge) and other critical facilities.

What will you do with us?

Your main responsibilities will include leading and managing Data Center projects from the proposal phase through to execution and closeout, acting as Lead Designer and Project Manager. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams of architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and specialists, while also serving as the primary technical point of contact for clients and partners.

You will also oversee the technical quality of projects, manage risks and changes, contribute to business development by preparing proposals and attending client meetings, and support team growth by fostering knowledge transfer and the development of more junior profiles.

What are we looking for in you?

We are looking for a professional with a degree in Architecture, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with more than 10 years of experience in the design, development, and coordination of building, industrial, or infrastructure projects. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in architecture, structures, and MEP will be especially valued, as will comprehensive project management including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and client liaison.

It is important to bring experience in complex projects, preferably in industrial, energy, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, or similar environments, as well as experience with BIM workflows and the preparation of technical and commercial proposals. In addition, a C1 level of Spanish and English is required, along with availability to travel.

Experience in Data Center projects will be especially valued, as will project management certifications (PMP®, IPMA, or PRINCE2), knowledge of industry standards, and experience in international environments. Knowledge of German or French will be a plus.

Debido al fuerte crecimiento en nuestra área de Edificación | WSP, queremos incorporar en nuestro equipo Centros de Datos | WSP en Madrid a un/a Arquitecto/a, Ingeniero/a Industrial o Ingeniero/a de Caminos con capacidades contrastadas de Project Manager y Lead Designer, para liderar el diseño y la gestión de proyectos de Centros de Datos (hyperscale, colocation y edge) y otras instalaciones críticas.

¿Qué harás con nosotros?

Entre tus principales responsabilidades estarán liderar y gestionar proyectos de Centros de Datos desde la fase de propuesta hasta su ejecución y cierre, actuando como Lead Designer y Project Manager. Coordinarás equipos multidisciplinares de arquitectura, estructuras, instalaciones (MEP) y especialistas, siendo además el principal interlocutor técnico con clientes y colaboradores.

También supervisarás la calidad técnica de los proyectos, gestionarás riesgos y cambios, participarás en el desarrollo de negocio mediante la preparación de propuestas y reuniones con clientes, y contribuirás al crecimiento del equipo fomentando la transferencia de conocimiento y el desarrollo de perfiles más junior.

¿Qué buscamos en ti?

Buscamos un/a profesional con titulación en Arquitectura, Ingeniería Industrial, Ingeniería de Caminos o similar, que cuente con más de 10 años de experiencia en el diseño, desarrollo y coordinación de proyectos de edificación, industria o infraestructuras. Se valorará especialmente la experiencia liderando equipos multidisciplinares de arquitectura, estructuras e instalaciones (MEP), así como la gestión integral de proyectos, incluyendo planificación, control de costes, gestión de riesgos e interlocución con clientes.

Es importante aportar experiencia en proyectos complejos, preferiblemente en entornos industriales, energéticos, farmacéuticos, oil & gas o similares, así como experiencia en entornos BIM y en la elaboración de propuestas técnicas y económicas. Además, se requiere un nivel de español e inglés C1 y disponibilidad para viajar.

Se valorará especialmente la experiencia en proyectos de Centros de Datos, así como certificaciones en gestión de proyectos (PMP®, IPMA o PRINCE2), conocimientos de estándares del sector y experiencia en entornos internacionales. El conocimiento de alemán o francés será un plus.
